A post in the Chinese social network Weibo revealed the first images of ZTE's upcoming full HD Android smartphone named ZTE Nubia Z5. Though it is not yet an official launch, the images appear to have come from an official PR person within the company. It may be recalled that ZTE had announced this model at a press meet around one month back. This is the first time we are getting few images of this model out in the market.
The revealed images suggest that this model could be competing with the recently announced HTC Butterfly model in the Chinese market. Both these models will face competition from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 too. Phablet market in China is getting more options now for the users!
Though ZTE has not officially announced the specifications of this upcoming HD smartphone, few of the features are now known.
Known specifications of ZTE Nubia Z5 (yet to be officially verified)
- 5 inch display screen
- 1080P screen resolution
- 13 MP rear end camera
- Unibody design
- Android OS (Mostly 4.1 version) and
- Quad core processor
As you can see in the leaked in images, the appearance of the phone looks visually appealing and with some decent specifications, ZTE would be betting on this model to give a tight competition to HTC Butterfly and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in the Chinese market.
The company has remained tight lipped on the availability of this model in markets outside China too for the time being. We have to wait till it is officially released by the company.
