Smartphone maker ZTE is looking to take the market by storm. With so many handset makers before it heading into the market and trying out their lucks, ZTE is now in contention with the launch of the brand new Grand S2 handset.
While the launch of Grand S2 remains a highlight, the company has also unveiled the likes of Grand S and B Nubia Z7 mini. While the Grand S is curently set for a December arrival, the Nubia Z7 mini is expected to come around in January next year.
Going through the specs of the handset, the Grand S2 comes with dimensions of 157 x 77 x 9.1 mm. It offers an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a big 5.5 inch display for great color reproduction. The handset offers 401 ppi pixel density which is also quite decent.
The new Grand S2 offers a 13 MP primay camera with support for 4128 x 3096 pixels and autofocus. apart from that, it also offers a 2MP front facing camera that offers shooting at 1080p at 30fps. However, the only downside of the handset is that it runs on the dated Android Jelly Bean OS.
The phone offers a massive 3100mAh battery unit that is expected to run an entire day and then some. It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset with Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor. While the handset offers 16GB of internal memory with 2GB RAM, it also supports up to 32GB via microSD.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 and A2DP. ZTE hasn't revealed on the pricing of the handset, but we are expecting to get more information on that in the coming days.
