Thought to be the first time the Nubia Z9 maker has decided to hold an event in India, the move suggests that ZTE is increasing its focus on the country.
If reports are to be believed, ZTE is getting ready to unveil the Nubia Z9 Mini in India on May 19 - said to be a mid-end handset that might cost anywhere between Rs. 14,499 to Rs. 15,999.
The company is also said to be prepping to launch the Nubia Z9 and the Nubia Z9 Max in India, though there's no update whether it plans to bring those devices to the country next week.
In addition, ZTE has partnered exclusively with Amazon India to launch the Nubia Z9 Mini in the country, though official details are yet to be shared with local media.
ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini - Specifications
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is scheduled to go live on May 19. The specs of the smartphone is almost confirmed, with a 5-inch 1080p screen and the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip with 2GB of RAM, and a 2,900mAh battery. The Z9 Mini has removable rear panels, while the body is made from metal.
The phone also has 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, and dual-SIM functionality, plus a 2,900mAh battery. The device features 4G LTE connectivity too. It has a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, along with an 8MP front camera. The handset runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
