IFA 2012: Philips Launches Original Radio Series and Fidelio Audio Products

Philips Original Radio range is designed to impart users with a feel of company’s radio designs of 1950’s. The company has been making radios since 1920. This retro looking radio is visually impressive with its nostalgic looks. The company has unveiled five different versions of their Philips Original Radio series. The products being released include ORD7300, ORD7100C and ORD7100R. These three products are compatible to be used as an integrated iPhone and iPad dock.

Philips has also unveiled OR7200 and ORD7300 radio which also has DAB+ digital radio designed to be compatible with a wider range of stations. The base version released in Philips Original Radio series is OR7000 designed to be limited to stations such as FM, LW and MW stations. All the five versions of the radio from Philips are available in three colors including cream, dark wood and red colors. The casing is made up of wood and the aluminum metal designed controls are featured for volume and playback controls. Users can also fine tune the iOS docking station models using iPhone or iPod. Good quality sound is expected to be delivered with a pair of built-in 10-watt powered speakers.
