Microsoft Starts New Xbox Live Dashboard Roll Out Today

Xbox Live dashboard has been updated and will be released to the public today. The new dashboard will be integrating features like Internet Explorer browser for Xbox, extension of voice search for the Youtube etc. 

The new dashboard has been running in beta version since July this year. The new dashboard has visual elements which resemble the Windows 8 interface. The navigation in Internet Explorer for Xbox will be supported by Xbox SmartGlass, Kinect Voice and the Xbox 360 controller. An auto-complete functionality has been added to the address bar. 

Genre search will allow users to search for content by genres including drama, comedy, action etc. Users will be able quickly find movies, TV shows across various entertainment apps using this feature. 

Bing voice search is now enhanced to include content on the Youtube app too. Voice search will also support searches across the web. The searches will return both web videos and web pages. A new ‘My Pins’ feature has been include which allows users to bookmark or pin their favorite content to a single queue which is easily accessible from Xbox dashboard. Content which can be bookmarked include games, websites, apps, TV shows and movies. 

Ratings feature has been included in the new dashboard which will allow users to give ratings to content. Ratings can range from one to five stars. ’TV
