Sony's Android Powered Walkman
Sony’s walkmans are all time favorites no doubt, but what if the walkmans are powered by Android. Yeah, Sony just announced that they are going to launch a walkman supported by the Android and a lot of hype followed. The Walkman is already popular and is referred to as the Walkman Mobile Entertainment Player at present and Sony claims that it’s specifically designed for music lovers by music lovers. The Android Walkman is unique and rather different from Sony’s normal array of the same, because it also supports around more than 250000 Android applications as well and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version.

The Walkman Music App (W.App) in Android Walkman is a cool new feature and very much praiseworthy, for it displays the album arts which reminds you of Cover arts of music scattered and spread all over the floor. Just tap any art in the 4.3 inch display touchscreen and the Walkman starts playing the tracks in that album. The sound quality, Sony assures, will definitely beat that of its predecessors and many other walkmans in the market. The Sony SenseMe technology in the Android walkman scans all entries of Music and classifies them according to their genres. Apparently, there will be the trade mark ‘walkman’ button which lets the user access the Music controls instantly with just one press and it doesn’t matter if the phone is locked while you are doing so. The Android walkman is also designed to show the lyrics if the user can enter the text files. If you want to seek the playback to that part of the song which you like most, just tap that lyrics and PRESTO!!!!

If the user wishes to get new tracks, all he has to do is tap into Sony’s music Service called Music Unlimited using the link in the phone and he can get access to millions of tracks, literally, and buy all that he wants. But there will be monthly subscription costs for this feature. The Android walkman is said to be powered by a 1 GHz processor and it’s rumored to possess a 5 mega pixel camera which can record HD videos in 720p. The sound output is awesome. You can make it more awesome with the XLoud technology in the Android powered Walkman which enables you to tweak the sound output of the speakers and maximize it. And if you care more about the Sound quality rather than the volume, then the built in S-Master MX suite will be of help enabling you to clarify bass and stereo, reduce noise and improve the audio quality. The Android powered Walkman will have a 2 GB microSD card expandable up to a whopping 32 GB. Imagine all the music it can hold. The Walkman can also display graphical visualizations, if present, while playing the music.

The Android Powered Walkman’s price details are not yet revealed, but it’s expected to be more than Rs 10000/-.
