Unleash the 360 degree audio experience with Nokia Play speaker
A loudspeaker or simply a speaker is a device used to reproduce sound in correspondence to the incoming audio signal. From the introduction of the loudspeaker in telephone in 1861 they have come a long way undergoing lot of developments. New driver designs where introduced which can produce more clear sounds and then came the full range speakers.
Mono speakers gave way to stereo and surround sound systems. Since the surround sound systems incorporate many speakers research has been going on to find out if a single speaker will be able to reproduce the surround sound effect. The research and development that followed let to the development of speakers that can do just that.
Nokia Play 360 speaker is a surround sound speaker and the sound comes from a single omni directional speaker. Conventional speakers send sound in one direction only. So you will have to place it directly in front of you if you want to get that full sound experience.
If you want to be immersed in a surround sound music setup, many speakers connected to a console has to be placed in different parts of the room at optimum places. This creates a lot of difficulties like the hassles in connecting all to this speaker, the power that they all demand, etc. Also the wires that connect them is an eye sore. If you want to get the surround sound effect from a portable speaker, then that was completely out of the question until now.
Nokia Play 360 speaker is an answer to all these problems. It is a portable speaker that can be used to stream music from your phone via Bluetooth. The device has dimensions of 110 mm x 110 mm x 124 mm. It weighs only 514gm so that it is sufficiently light to carry around.
The speaker fills the surrounding space with music when it is turned on. The added advantage is that you can place the speaker in a particular position and even if you walk around the sound quality will not be hindered due to the surround sound capability. The device completely eliminates the need for wires. Being a Bluetooth enabled device there is no need for connecting wires in between the mobile or the music streaming device and the speaker.
The device works using nokia BL-5C battery and in full charge the device can play music continuously at moderate volume for about 21 hours. So there won’t be any wires connected to the wall socket to play the music while the battery still has juice left to power up the device.
If you want to use two speakers then the conventional way was to connect them via wires too to synchronize the sound output. But with Nokia Play 360 speaker there is no need for it. They are linked wirelessly and the change in volume in one device is automatically reflected in the other.
Nokia Play 360 speaker can be connected or linked to a device via Bluetooth connection or via 3.5mm audio in cable. That means it can play music from any device that is Bluetooth enabled or that can output audio through the 3.5mm connector. The speakers are also very easy to use. It consists of only the most required buttons and there is no complication in it. Also one notable thing is that it is NFC enabled. Nokia Play 360 speaker is expected to be priced at around Rs.10, 000 in India.
