Here's some good news for all you ebook fanatics still looking to get your hands on a potential Kindle tablet later down the year. According to reports, Amazon has announced new EMI offers via which customers in India will be able to purchase Kindle readers and Kindle Fire tablets on EMIs.
The new offer from Amazon, which is currently valid on Kindle and new generation Kindle Paperwhite devices, will now allow interested customers to buy a Kindle for as low as Rs 500 a month and the Paperwhite for as low as Rs 900 a month.
The company, in a new release for the same, states that the option of EMIs are available from Citibank, HDFC and ICICI Bank with purchases of more than Rs 3,000 for durations of three, six, nine and 12 months on amazon.in.
The EMI offers can be made use of from a total of nine banks including Citibank, HDFC and ICICI Bank when purchases are made offline from 250 retail outlets across the country.
"The EMI facility will be offered on all devices along with a limited-period special price for the New Generation Kindle Paperwhite (Wi-Fi) and the basic Kindle 6" eink model," the official release states for the same.
Illustratively, during the two week EMI promotion, it adds, the New Gen Paperwhite will be priced at Rs 10,080 as against its original price of Rs 10,999, while the basic Kindle model will be priced at Rs 5,600 as against the original price of Rs 5,999. Moreover, with the the EMI offer of 12 months in place, the monthly cost will be Rs. 900 and Rs. 500 respectively.
It adds that special prices on Kindle are valid till 15th April 2014.
