BlackBerry 10 to pack screen sharing
The BlackBerry 10 operating system will have a new screen sharing feature to the smartphones. RIM announced the BB 10 OS and gave a sneak peek to it at the BlackBerry World 2012 conference held early this month.
The exact mechanism used for the screen sharing has not been mentioned but the mockup image makes it evident that it will be like collaborative viewing. Two devices powered by the BB 10 OS can share all that is happening on the screen using the screen sharing request.
A user can also share the same screen from one device to another and continue using it, provided both the devices run on BlackBerry 10. This feature can be used to show presentations, for sharing pictures and also for simply browsing together. The concept is to share all the activities on device to another virtually. It does not involve any physical data sharing.
The screen sharing feature is quite essential and is available even in the Skype Desktop application. As of now, the process and the requirements for screen sharing is not known. It may be number based, BlackBerry PIN based or email address based. We can get to know more details on this while the BB 10 device is launched.
