CES 2015: Seagate Introduces 500GB Wireless Hard Drive Solution for Smartphones and Tablets

Seagate, a company which produces hard disk for the world to store their data, photos, videos and documents has launched a 500GB wireless hard drive ahead of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The hard drive has a built in power supply and Wi-Fi radio for accesing file immediately.

The wireless hard drive is designed for streaming and offloading media from mobile devices. Available in five bright variants such as - lime green, cool blue, slate gray, fire-engine red, and white, the hard drive can connect upto 3 devices simultaneously. It offers a nine hour battery life and the ability to store media like photos and videos.

Seagate Introduces 500GB Wireless Hard Drive for Smartphones

The wireless hard drive allows users to stream their favourite HD video content using Seagate Media app for Apple iOS, Android, Kindle Fire HD, Windows 8 tablets. It can also be used to access content on big screen using Apple Airplay, Chromecast and Roku. Secondly, the Seagate Media app makes actually getting to all those videos, photos, and music files much easier with a built-in media player, saving you the hassle of searching through a file manager or manually copying and pasting.

The Media app is available on the Play Store and Amazon Appstore. The Seagate wireless hard drive will be available this month for $129.99 (approx Rs 8,251) from the Seagate website and through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
