Coolpad forays into Indian Smartphone Market
Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad is entering into the Indian market and has appointed former Flipkart executive Varun Sharma as its CEO for India operations. "India is the fastest growing online smartphone market in the world and we want to be a leader in this market.
We look forward to bringing innovative products to Indian consumers," Coolpad Dazen Global Chief Operating Officer Li Wang said.

Prior to joining Coolpad Dazen, Sharma was Director at Flipkart and led its strategic global partnerships. ******* UTStarcom gets three-year extension on BSNL deal * UTStarcom today said it has received a three-year contract extension to support a major network enhancement for state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL).
This is an extension order for maintenance of BSNL broadband services with UTStarcom supplied products, including LAN switches and various applications, it said in a statement.
UTStarcom will supply and maintain BSNL Multiplay, the broadband triple play network, till 2018, it added.
