eBay buys BillSafe, a German tech firm

eBay Inc, announced that it has bought the German based firm, BillSafe which is a purchase and invoice tech provider that has many clients in Germany. BillSafe will be combined with the online payment service of eBay, PayPal. This combination will strengthen the e-commerce ability of eBay in the Northern region of Europe.

With BillSafe, the shoppers can buy any item and then pay once they receive the invoice. This technology of BillSafe is quite common in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Netherlands as a common form of the e-commerce payment. Initially, a minor stake of BillStake was acquired by eBay in the last year and now it owns the company fully.

The company has not revealed the figures involved in the deal but anyhow this will not have any effect on the financial predictions that were made in October. This acquisition of BillSafe is the latest deal of eBay this year and the previous one was that of a Turkey based auction site for a deal of $235.3 million.
