Flipkart First Service Launched: Company Also Working On Tablet
One of India's largest and most popular online retailer Flipkart has been making a lot of in-house changes. It has been a rather interesting year for the e-commerce portal as it has established lucrative ties with Motorola thus milking out the market with Moto E and Moto G. Secondly, it has already acquired Myntra, another shopping site.
Now it has introduced its latest annual subscription service called ‘Flipkart First' for its customers who wish to get exclusive benefits and have access to priority service, at Rs. 500 per year. The service comes with a bundle of benefits which include free shipping on orders with no minimum purchase price, discounted same-day delivery at just Rs 70 per item, free in-a-day delivery, besides 24×7 priority customer service.
But according to Flipkart, it will add more benefits to the new scheme, which will be announced soon.
It should be noted that the free in-a-day guarantee delivery and discounted same-day guarantee delivery are applicable only on products purchased from Flipkart's in-house vendor WS Retail. And consumers can use net banking, credit/debit card, and Payzippy payment options to purchase the subscription service.

However, cash on delivery, e-gift voucher and wallet cannot be used to purchase it. Also users can cancel the subscription at any point during the one-year term.
Another interesting thing that Flipkart is up to is its new tablet device which will be unveiled under the DigiFlip brand. If you are not aware, DigiFlip is the company's in-house brand under which it makes and comprises of products like computer mice, laptop accessories, headphones and speakers.
The company will soon launch this tablet which is rumored to feature a chipset from MediaTek. However, other details about the tablet device is not out yet, but we will keep track on it and let you know as soon as something related to it appears.
Stay tuned until then!
