Google Independence Day Doodle, Special Offers on Smartphones and More
Software giant Google today unveiled a special Doodle celebrating India's 67th Independence Day. The tech giant is quite active, when it comes to country specific occasions. The Gmail maker unleashed a tri-colored ribbon on its homepage. Google has been celebrating India's Independence Day with a special themed Doodle since 2003.
Last year also, Google had celebrated India's 66th Independence Day with a special Doodle featuring a Peacock bending its neck backwards to form the "G". Here "G "stands for Google. In 2011, Google had come with an image of Red Fort on the background, but symbolic tri-colored Flag was missing.
Apart from Google, both India and International tech vendors are celebrating India's 67th Independence Day with special offers. For instance, Panasonic India is offering gifts & benefits worth Rs 14,990 with every 39 inch LED VIERA model. Consumers can buy a new Panasonic VIERA TV on a special down payment of Rs. 1947 only. The offer is valid up to 21 August 2013.
In a similar way, Samsung India is offering special offers on Android based Galaxy series. The Galaxy S4, which is priced Rs. 41,500 in the Indian market, now retails for Rs. 34,500. The special price is applicable only if you exchange an old running phone.
You can also purchase Samsung Galaxy S4 through EMIs. Apart from Galaxy S4, Samsung India is offering handsets at reduced prices. For instance, the Galaxy Core is now priced Rs. 13,200 instead of Rs. 15,690.
Similarly, if you purchase Galaxy Grand worth Rs. 20,990, consumers will get a free Sennheiser headphone worth Rs. 2290. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro is now retailing for Rs. 17,435. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
