Google Pakistan Along with Yahoo!, Apple, eBay, PayPal Sites Hacked By Turkish Hackers
Earlier today, report swirled in the media that Google Pakistan homepage has been hacked by a group of Turkish hackers, namely 'Eboz.' The homepage of the site showed text in Turkish language, which meant – "eboz. My homies in a friend always there for me. Have not shot by me with every breath."
Reportedly, the hackers replaced the Google logo and search bar with an image of two penguins walking on a bridge with a message in Turkish along with a "Pakistan Downed" message.
According to The News Tribe, "Google is still quite about the issue why its Pakistan edition has been hacked, by whom and from where."
Following the Google homepage hack, report came informing that Pakistan'sMicrosoft, Yahoo, Apple, Visa, HSBC, Coca Cola, Blogspot, Sony, HP, eBay and PayPal all websites have been and defaced by multiple Turkish hackers.
While, it was still not clear what exactly is the motive of the Turkish hackers behind such a movement, however, then Softpedia report citing The Hackers Mediareport came up claiming that its a political angle.
Three additional domains – blog.microsoft.pk, adsense.google.com.pk, code.google.pk – have been defaced by a Pakistani hacker collective.
According to the report on their defacement pages of blog.microsoft.pk, adsense.google.com.pk, code.google.pk, thehackers revealed not only their reasons for breaching the sites, but also the vulnerability they exploited.
“Why we have wasted our time to hack Pakistani Sites? Just because let us convey our message. We warned you and we were willing to fix your vulnerability but you think we are jokers and you guys took it as a joke? Yes it’s time to bang you guys!!” the hackers wrote said the report.
