Earlier this month, Idea partnered with Opera and Quickr to offer 10MB data free for its customers on a daily basis. In a latest development, the telecom service provider has introduced a new free internal trial pass that offers their customers 2,00,000 hours of free Internet access, over the next 20 days through the web pass service on Opera Mini.
Thus, Opera Mini users will be getting the best out of the latest offering from Idea. To get the access to the free Internet by heading on to the Speed Dial page in Opera Mini browser and then click on Idea Web Pass and select Free Internet Trial Pass from the list of web passes.
Although, the Idea subscribers can avail one web pass each throughout the campaign, which offers them one hour of free Internet, it is just up to 3 MB data that they can use during that day itself.
The 200,000 hours of free Internet are available for the next 20 days. On each day, the 'Free Internet Trial Pass' can be availed by 10,000 users on a first-come, first-served basis.
In India, Web Passes are currently available only on the Idea network, starting at Rs. 1 for hourly Internet access and daily Facebook access and up to Rs. 30 for a week's Internet access.
Anyways, Idea subscribers who don't have Opera Mini on their phones can't take the advantage of the new offering from the company. Thus, they can visit m.opera.com and download Opera Mini for free. The Opera Mini browser works on almost all kinds of phones, from basic Java phones to the latest Android and iOS smartphones.
This new move would allow non-data users to enjoy Internet on their mobile phones.
