Infosys Unveils Its Unified Cloud Ecosystem

IT firm Infosys has launcts its Cloud Ecosystem Hub recently. It is designed and developed for managing infrastructure and cloud applications through a single unique platform. The new platform would allow companies to store data and have access to various software tools on pay-per-use model. With this, companies need not invest heavily in infrastructure and scale up when needed, reducing their operating cost and infrastructure cost to a great extent.

This Unified Cloud Ecosystem Hub is designed to be helpful for clients since they will be able to choose, compare and provide cloud services across their customers. This will be done taking in to consideration many parameters including:

  • Service Quality

  • Regulatory compliance requirements

  • Technology Compatibility

  • Total cost of ownership for application workloads
The usage of the cloud resources can be easily monitored with this new Unified Cloud Ecosystem. This system is also capable of bringing greater unification among the fragmented public and private Cloud functionalities. It is also capable of increasing the productivity and also cost savings by a considerable margin. With the launch of this new system, Infosys is expecting to promote this technology with its new and existing clients. This will span across industries including retail, financial services, manufacturing and life sciences etc.

Vishnu Bhat, Infosys Vice-President and Global head was stated as saying; “After 5-7 years, 60 percent of the IT workload is expected to be on the cloud, which is a mix of private and public cloud. The solution is aimed to help companies manage fragmented IT environment, providing a unified platform and seamless experience.” He also added, “Using the solution, businesses can accelerate time-to market of cloud services by up to 40 percent, improve productivity by up to 20 percent and achieve cost-savings of up to 30 percent.”
