At the Google I/O 2014, held in San Francisco, as expected Google made astounding announcements that shook the excitement out of the diverse Android community worldwide. It's not just the announcement of the Android TV or the car with Android Auto that matters mostly to the high-end customers, but also the major announcement of the Android One program that will enable low-cost Android smarpthone makers to catch hold of the progressive market competition.
Anyways, apart from these announcements that stirred out monumental scope for the 6,000 developers on the 7th annual Google I/O developer conference, unveiling of the Android Wear devices was one part that captivated most Google fans. The search engine giant announced two of it's most awaited smartwatches from LG and Samsung while another one from Motorola is already the one that we know about. These are LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live and obviously both run on Android Wear.
If you are not aware, Android Wear is a version of Google's Android operating system designed for smartwatches and other wearables. By pairing with mobile phones running Android version 4.3 and later, Android Wear integrates Google Now functionality and mobile notifications into a smartwatch form factor. The platform was announced earlier this year on March 18, 2014.
Moreover, adding extra scoop of cream to the cake, Google has already listed these two devices on Google Play store. In the US, both LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are up for pre-order, while in India, LG G Watch is up for pre-order at the price of Rs. 14,999 and according to the store, it will start shipping in from July 8th. But on the other hand, Samsung Gear Live is still under the 'coming soon' tag, but thankfully, the price is listed as Rs. 15,900.
If you are waiting for the Motorola's Moto 360, you might have to wait a little longer as Google says, "Moto 360 from Motorola will be available in the coming months."
