LG Launches World’s First 84-inch 4K 3D TV

LG has launched what is considered to be the world’s first 84-inch 4K Ultra Definition 3D TV. It was officially launched in a special event held in Korea on August 22. This product will be available officially for retail purchase from next month onwards globally. The device is expected to make its global debut in the upcoming IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin in the coming week.

Ultra Definition: Superior Screen Resolution

The most notable feature of LG 4K Ultra Definition 3D TV is the presence of 4K UD Technology. As per the sources, screen resolution of the 3D TV would be 4096 x 2160 pixels which will give the users amazing and sharp images expirience. This resolution is around four times the resolution of the currently available HD models.

During the unveiling ceremony in South Korea, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company Havis Kwon was stated as saying, “LG’s UD 3D TV represents a whole new level of home viewing experience because it offers every advanced technology we currently have to offer.”

4K Ultra Definition TV: The Future Trend?

4K Ultra Definition TV’s are expected to be a major trend in the coming days with more and more competitors planning to come up with similar kind of 4K TVs during the upcoming IFA event. Sony and Toshiba are already rumored to be releasing their 4K TV models even though there is no official confirmation regarding this from both companies.

With LG already announcing its 4K 3D TV model, it is sure that this Ultra definition TV segment is all gearing up to get hot in the coming days and the IFA event could set the tone for it.
