Nokia Asha 205 and Asha 206
Following the launch of Asha 308 and Asha 309, Nokia has launched two feature phones Asha 205 and Asha 206. On the whole, both Asha 205 and Asha 206 have similar specifications with slight differences in order to let the consumers choose the right one suiting their needs.
When it comes to Asha 205, the handset sports a 2.4 inch LCD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Series 40 platform, VGA rear camera, 10MB free user memory, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v2 .1 with EDR and 1,020 mAh BL-5C battery offering 11 hours talk time and 608 hours standby.
As far as Asha 206 is concerned, the handset packs a 2.4 inch LCD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Series 40 platform, 1.3MP rear camera and has no front camera, 64MB free user memory, a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and a 1,110 mAh BL-4U battery offering 20 hours talk time and 680 hours standby.
The new handsets have Nokia Slam, a new service that allows users to transfer media between devices that support Bluetooth connectivity without having to manually pair them.
Both are entry-level handsets that will be released in India by the end of this year. As of now, there is no information regarding the exact release date and pricing of the handsets, but, it is claimed by Nokia that they will fall in the sub Rs 3,500 price range.
