For all the dirt conscious maniacs out there, leading hardware manufacturer Logitech has unveiled their innovative washable keyboard range. Dubbed by the name of, K310 – the latest keyboard from the company can be wiped with a wet cloth and also be rinsed in the kitchen sink. The company claims that this keyboard is easy to clean and easy to dry. It’s also designed for a comfortable typing experience with a familiar layout and sleek, thin profile.

Key Specs

According to the press release, Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 can withstand submerging it up to 11 inches of water depth. The letters on the keys are laser printed and UV coated to prevent fading off due to repeated washing. There are also drainage holes on the rear side of the keyboard to facilitate smooth drying of the washed equipment. Logitech has confirmed that the keyboard will last up to 5 million keystrokes.

The new keyboard in town is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The layout of Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 follows standard patterns with F keys and number pad.

The device also comes with an USB connector for connecting it to the computer. Company officials have advised the users to protect the USB cable from water and liquids – as it may lead to connectivity issues. Use of hard liquids like alcohol and phenyl is also not recommended.

Price and Availability

Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 is available for pre-order now. However, the Indians would have to wait for a while to experience this new gadget as, Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 will be shipped to the US markets by August and then to Europe and other international markets by October.
