Motorola Razr HD and Maxx HD Tipped for October Launch: The Battle of Smartphones to get Fiercer

International phone manufacturer Motorola is reportedly prepping to launch two new smartphones by October this year, namely Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD.

According to a report by a tech news website HotHardware, the two rumored smartphones might hit the retail shelves by October, though an exact release date has not been outed by the company or any other source yet.

Rumored Specs

OS and Processor Power: Reportedly the phones will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and they will sport a high definition 720 x 1280 pixel of resolution display. Further, the report added that the leaked images of the Razr HD and the Razr Maxx HD revealed that the handsets run on Android 4.0.4 ICS OS rather than its next iteration, 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Battery: The report confirmed that the Razr Maxx HD will feature a bigger battery for longer runtime. Meanwhile, the other specifications of the handset are not confirmed, however, according to analysts both the smartphones will have similar features.

Similar is the casewith the existing Razr and Razr Maxx handsets too, with the latter powered by a 3300 mAh battery, as compared tothe 1780 mAh battery in the Razr.

Form Factor : Analysts predict that Razr Maxx HD body will be thicker as compared to Razr HD, as the former would be sporting a bigger battery, just like current Razr Maxx.

Release and Rivals

Besides the iPhone 5, the upcoming Droid Razr HD will also have to rival on the enemy lines with the Android's super relase of the year Samsung Galaxy S3 , HTC One X and also the much rumored upcoming HTC phablet that is speculated to be coming with a mammoth 5-inch 1080p HD touchscreen display.
