Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 Reportedly Receive Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean Upgrade
Following Google Nexus 7, LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Nexus 10 are also slated to receive the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean upgrade.
A few days back, there were reports claiming that Nexus 7 is receiving OTA update of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with a slew of new features including improved stability and performance, security features, expandable, actionable notifications and easy personalization of the home screen.
However, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 devices were initially launched with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but there were constant complaints from users regarding some bugs in the platform. It is worth to mention the one discovered in the People app, which left the month of holidays – December in disguise.
After the complaint, it was confirmed that Android 4.2 as a whole is facing the issue. Also, Google acknowledged the issue and claimed that it will work on the Android 4.2.1 upgrade to fix the problem.
According to a recent XDA Developers forum report, some Nexus 4 handsets and Nexus 10 tablets have started receiving the Android 4.2.1 upgrade.
With bugs like the missing month of December in the Contacts app and Bluetooth stuttering, Android 4.2 is claimed to have the most bugs following Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Fortunately, the 4.2.1 update is coming and it seems to be adding the missing month of December and fixing the Bluetooth issues as well. Further, the reports claim that it is an OTA update measuring 1.1MB.
