Nokia and Zynga partnership: Draw Something and Zynga Poker Apps coming to Asha Touch phones
Nokia is joining hands with popular game developer Zynga to incorporate games like Zynga Poker and Draw Something to its newly launched Asha Touch phones. The game which is available for free download from the Nokia store will be compatible with Asha 311, Asha 306 and Asha 305. Zynga has also become the latest vendor to offer games on the S40 based Asha Touch series phone which comes preloaded with games from vendors like EA Sports, Gameloft, Rovio and NAMCO Bandai.
With the inclusion of the two games, Nokia plans to increase the popularity of this budget phone. Bryan Biniak, VP & GM, Global Partnering & Application Development, Nokia was quoted saying “It's great to expand our offering of Zynga games to deliver more blockbuster titles across our portfolio of mobile devices, giving consumers great choice and tremendous value.”
Nokia Asha Touch phones have been crafted to provide a smartphone like experience to its users. Nokia Asha 311 is an extremely fast and compact device with a 3.5G Capacitive touchscreen. It is powered by a 1 GHz processor which enhances the gaming experience to admirable levels. Nokia Asha 305 is a pocket friendly budget phone which feature exclusive swapping of dual SIMs.
Nokia Asha 306 is a successor to the 305 model and supports a single SIM interface. It is the most affordable handset with Wi-Fi capabilities. According to sources from Nokia 42% of all downloads from Nokia Store during the period of January to April 2012 went to Series 40 devices including the Asha series. The latest announcement from Nokia regarding its association with Zynga reveals a lot about the commitment of the company in delivering great gaming experience to users of the Asha Touch phone series.
