In a recent development, Nokia has announced an event called Nokia City Lens PDD( 'Point.Discover.Do"). The event is being conducted to promote the use of Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia City Lens app present in the device.
Relatively, contest will be conducted as per the event. Indian citizens falling in the age group of 21 to 35 years can join the campaign by giving right answers to some questions. The contest will run for 10 days.
Winners of the contest will get an opportunity to party across three different metro cities for three nights. All expenses will be paid by Nokia. Winners will be decided by a panel consisting of Bollywood actress Esha Gupta and representatives from Nokia.
During the three day event which is currently being referred to as 'Lens Night Offs",3 winners will be provided with Nokia Lumia 900 with Nokia City Lens app. Winners can discover exciting places using the app and have unlimited amount of fun. Esha Gupta will be accompanying the winners for the Night Off occasion.
To add more excitement to the event, Nokia will make an arrangement for audiences to vote for their favorite contestants online. The contestant who receives the maximum number of votes will receive a Nokia Lumia 900 along with several other goodies.
Nokia City Lens is an augmented reality application which helps users to discover interesting spots and hangouts in cities. The service of the app is a deviation from the traditional format of doing web searches for finding hotspots in the city. City Lens provides detailed information on restaurants, shops, hotels, theatres and more.
Users can also search for places according to different genres and activities using the app. All users need to do is Point. Discover and that will Do.
The PDD event targets at informing customers in India regarding the utility of Nokia Lumia 900 and the Nokia City Lens app. Nokia is targeting younger generation smartphone users with the promotional event.
