Pantel Technologies, a Noida based hardware manufacturer has recently announced that it will launch a 9.7 inch 3G tablet in the Indian market in October.
The Managing Director of Pantel Technologies, Vijender Singh was reported to be saying, “We are working on a host of products. We are planning 3G 9.7 inch model with a dual core processor which will be launched by October this year.”
However, there was no word about the specifications or the price of the upcoming 3G tablet.
Pantel Technologies started working in India only in March 2012, and the company has managed to sell over 1 lakh PC units three months.
Mr Singh continued saying, “Demand is mainly coming from the education sector.”
The company has tied up with BSNL to provide several attractive data plans for the consumers.
"BSNL has a mandate to increase broadband penetration in rural and semi-urban areas of the country. To achieve this, you need a computing device and Penta tablet PC fits in the category," he added.
Past launches by the company in tablet category include T-Pad IS701C, T-Pad IS703C, T-Pad IS801C, T-Pad IS701R, T-Pad WS802C and T-Pad WS704C.
