Raspberry Pi Will Run Minecraft soon, Showcases 5 MP 1080p-capable Camera
Raspberry Pi is nowadays increasingly getting market attention. Special thanks should be given for a yet to be released camera board that is designed to merge with unused CSI pins on a $35 (approximately Rs.1,900) hobbyist board. The new 5 mega pixel camera is however capable of recording video at 1080p at 30 fps. It is attached with a scotch tape technology which is a prototype displayed during the Electronica 2012 show.
The Pi foundation has promised to come up with a proper mount once it starts shipping during the New Year for $25 (approximately Rs.1,350).
A new port has also been announced by the Pi Foundation for the Notch gaming group named Minecraft: Pi Edition. With the port, users can do more in addition to just playing and enjoying games. Minecraft: Pi Edition is also designed to support a host of programming languages that allows users to modify the game world with code for booting. The group promised users to be getting this new feature somewhere by next week.
Minecraft: Pi Edition can be downloaded for free as per the sources close to Raspberry Pi. The new edition designed for Android and iOS will not be an exact replica of PC version of the game. The new edition will pave way for organizing one of the cheapest LAN party of all time and it can also be used significantly for learning the fundamentals of programming on a miniscule budget as per Owen Hill and Daniel Kaplan of Mojang.
They observed the possibilities as massive with Minecraft: Pi Edition. Analysts consider the new edition as fun and less stressful. It is still not clear about the exact release date of the same. Liz Upton, the Community Manager Raspberry Pi stated “we hope [it] will be very soon”.
