Rumors are rife regarding Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Note 2 smartphone which will be unveiled by the company at the Unpacked event on August 29.
Relatively, the tech savvy consumers with heavy pockets are hoping to get their hands on the next big thing from the Korean manufacturer. Samsung has managed to keep away the phablet from the prying eyes, still, the tech gossip world has managed to swirl enormous rumors and speculations about the much-awaited device. Here is a wrap-up of top speculations related to the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note.
Galaxy Note 2 to have a 5.5 inch flexible display
Recently, Korean Times has come up with its report which suggests that the handset will feature a 5.5 inch flexible AMOLED display. Flexible display doesn't indicate that the entire phone is bendable, instead it suggests that the Galaxy Note 2 will have a resilient screen when it comes to drops.
Moreover, Galaxy Note 2 is expected to use an Unbreakable Plane (UBP) alongside a plastic substrate, which will make the handset 0.4mm slimmer. Consequently, the phablet can equip a larger battery without growing in thickness.
However, this is an unconfirmed rumor, despite the fact that the report has claimed that the information has been outed by a trusted source.
Galaxy Note to have a 13MP camera
Rumors are widespread that the next Galaxy Note will have a 13MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. Further, it is also informed that the camera will be able to capture 1080p videos @30fps. Additionally, it will also feature image stabilization, geo-tagging, face, smile and touch detection.
Galaxy Note 2 to have a quad-core processor
Back in July, a leaked benchmark report came out which suggested that the device codenamed GT-N7100 has a quad core processor with a speed of 1.6 GHz. The device was claimed to be the next Galaxy Note. At the same time, several other reports also suggest that the speed of the processor is still unknown.
