Tumblr 4.0 Comes Updated to the iOS Platform

Microblogging and social networking site Tumblr got revamped with an updated icon, new video posting features, and a way to see what's trending on Tumblr.

Moreover, to suit the iOS platform, the company changed the icon so that it matches the white and blue "t" currently on its website.

Also, within the application, users can create secondary blog from your device and also allows you to submit posts to blogs that are asking for submissions.

With this updated app, now bloggers can drop in a video URL to add video to a blog post, which the company says is the most anticipating feature.

Further, in this update, Tumblr has added filtered search, which allows users to search within a specific type of content, like photos or video posts.

From the browser version, it has added sticky" search bar and avatars, which will stay at the top of your screen as you scroll through blog posts.

Tumblr has also added new widgets, that will give the users about trending topics. However, users must install the widget. The instruction for the widget :

1. Swipe down from anywhere to open your widget screen; 2. Scroll down the bottom of the "Today" tab; 3. Tap "Edit," then tap "Trending on Tumblr." After that, you're good. Good forever.
