Whatsapp has rolled out the update for the iOS users, to add calling functionality over the Whatsapp. Further, this update brings several other improvements also.

Coming to the calling functionality, it is not yet activated for some users, where they need to activate it from their end.

Those who have updated the Whatsapp version to 2.12.1 will get the Whatsapp calling option once they activate it.

Also, this update includes the option of sharing photos, videos and other links directly to Whatsapp from other applications.

Moreover, the update will also allow users to edit the contact within the application, something which is not available before.

Previously, on the other hand CEO and co-founder Jan Koum in his Facebook posted that, the instant message app, Whatsapp has crossed 800 million monthly active users.
