Xiaomi schedules an event on October 19th to launch an all new Mi Product
Xiaomi took the Indian market by storm ever since it entered the country. The Chinese OEM completely changed the Value For Money (VFM) perceptions thanks to their Redmi range.
Even a year back one would consider brands like Micromax and Xolo to deliver the best VFM smartphones. However with the entry of Chinese brands Indian OEM like Lava, Xolo has been driven out of the scene.

Nevertheless the Chinese OEM has apparently scheduled a launch in China on 19th of October. The launch date was reported by a reputed Chinese website GizChina citing insider sources. However unlike previous launch of Xiaomi products, there's not much info on exactly what the company plans to announce on the very day.
Apparently Xiaomi has habit of teasing device launches on various Social platforms, especially Weibo weeks before the actual launch. However with only 7 days left for the launch, the company seems to have followed a different suit this around by keeping things in cover.
The teaser image released by the Chines OEM doesn't give much of an info. The Chinese text when translated to English refers to the launch of a next gen of Mi product. With three Xiaomi products scheduled to launch Xiaomi Mi5, Xiaomi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 and Xiaomi Mi Laptop, it is rather difficult to pick the exact device the company is referring too.

However according to gut feeling, Xiaomi may finally unveil the Mi5 at the event. The device has been long standing and Xiaomi desperately needs to refresh their Mi lineup. The Mi Pad 2 may be on cards too.
Nevertheless one thing is for sure that the Xiaomi laptop won't be unveiled next week - according to previous leaks it won't be launching before early 2016.
Reported specs of the Xiaomi Mi5 included a 5.2 inch QHD (2560x1440) display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass for better viewing angles. Under the hood will be either a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 along with 4GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi5 is also reported to sport a 16MP rear camera along with a 13MP Selfie Snapper. To power the beast will be a large 3500mAh battery with support for quick charging.
In case, the Chinese OEM indeed launches the device on the 19th with the above mentioned specs, then expect a price upwards of 2199 Yuan (Rs 22,000 approx.)
