Today, Google has demonstrated a Doodle to commemorate the 193rd birth anniversary of Clara Schuman, the German musician and composer. She was considered to be one of the most distinguished pianists of the Romantic era.
The doodle depicts Clara Schumann playing the piano, along with her eight children, replacing the two O's and the second 'G' of the official Google logo. Colors of the official logo of Google and the Doodle are in sync - blue, red, yellow and green.
Born on 13 September 1819, Clara Schumann was raised by her father. At the age of 9, Clara made her public debut in a concert in the Leipziger Gewandhaus and was acknowledged all across Europe as a talented child prodigy. She was also instrumental in transforming the kind of programs expected of concert pianists.
Clara married Robert Schumann in 1839 and they had eight children. However, her personal life was a tragedy as four of her children predeceased her. One of her son and her husband spent the last years of their lives in an asylum. In fact, Clara herself became deaf in her later life and eventually died of a stroke in 1895 and the age of 76.
