Google Doodles London 2012 Shot Put
Today, Google has demonstrated its first shot put Doodle on its homepage. The shot put Doodle is quite different from the other disciplines of Olympics that have been posted as Doodles on the homepage of the search engine giant as it is the maiden appearance of the track and field event.
The London 2012 Shot Put Doodle is the 8th Doodle posted by Google. Shot Put focuses on throwing a metal ball referred to as shot to the farthest distance possible in a pushing motion.
The first Shot Put Doodle demonstrated by Google depicts shot putter ready for his throw. The letters in the official logo are placed in the horizon.
At the London 2012 Olympics, there are shot put events for both men and women. The rounds for men's shot put will happen on August 3, 2012 at the Olympic Stadium. The the same for women will be held on August 6.
Starting July 27, 2012, the Internet firm has posted eight Doodles indicating different disciplines like Fencing, Diving, Archery, Artistic Gymnastics, Hockey, Table Tennis and Shot Put. It started the Doodle tradition with the Opening Ceremony Doodle on Friday. Google posted exciting Doodles on each passing day of the Olympics 2008 held in Beijing.
Hence, we can expect Doodles on everyday of the London 2012 Olympics event till August 12, 2012.
