Facebook Home: Android Based New Enhanced Social Experience Coming April 4
Facebook big event is set to take place this coming Thursday on April 4 at their Head quarters. A lot has been said, and written by main stream media. Is Facebook coming up with its own hardware? Or it signals Android-related announcement?
As their invite says "Come See Our New Home On Android". There are fair chances that Facebook is betting big on Android OS in the coming days. Well, multiple reports suggest that Mark Zuckerberg supervised social networking site will announce a customized version of Android dubbed as Facebook Home.
"Facebook's invitation to its Android-related media event next week is much less cryptic than it would seem. The invitation reads "Come See Our New Home on Android." While, based on these words, Facebook seems to be teasing at a new Android-related Facebook experience, our sources say that the tagline reveals the actual product name: "Facebook Home..." as per 9to5 Google.
"The version of Facebook for Android currently on this device needs to be upgraded to support Facebook Home.", twitted by @evleaks.

Tech Crunch on "Facebook Home" - It would be an altered version of Android OS. It's said not to be rewrite of Android, but rather a "flavor" that will have all sorts of Facebook functionality built in.
The buzz is that HTC will unveil its first handset based on Facebook Home. The device resembles more to an iPhone with similar specs. Both HTC and Facebook are already in talks with global network operators. The Taiwanese giant had earlier launched two Facebook centric devices: HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa. The rumors of HTC designing Facebook phone goes back to year 2012. Back then, it was revealed by multiple sources that HTC-Facebook phone is destined to arrive in Q3 2013.
If Facebook jumps into hardware business with HTC Myst then the move could resembles similar to what Google is doing with Nexus line. Facebook to reveal custom version of Android OS for HTC devices is certainly not a new concept. Earlier also Amazon tried to tweak Android OS to promote Kindle tablet. It is an easy way to promote an eco-system what Amazon has done with series of Kindle range of devices.
Now there is a rumor that after the stupendous success of Kindle tablets, the world's largest online shopping giant, is prepping a smartphone with 4.7-inch display. Naturally, the new device will arrive with tweaked version of Android to better sync with Amazon online shopping network. Many tech analysts say that an iOS pale in terms of customization because of Apple's closed nature. Whereas, Android won big heart due to its openness, and larger base in comparison to Apple iPhone.
