5 Simple Ways to Download Facebook Photos & Videos
One of the integral parts of a true Facebook experience are the multimedia contents such as photos and videos. Social networking is not just about talking. It is all about showing what is actually happening in your life.
You will upload many images and videos over time and you might find a few of them to be the best ones. Of course, Facebook will not delete these photos and video and it is possible to download the same. So, how can you get those back?
Well, there are useful tools that will help you download these photos and videos in a jiffy. Check out these seven ways to download your Facebook media.
Download a Single Photo
If you want to download a single photo on Facebook, you need not look for any app or website. It is quite easy to download the same via Facebook.
You need to open the photo on the desktop and go to the menu bar at the bottom and click on Options-> Downloads. On your smartphone, open the photo and go to Options → Save Photo. If the image was shared by someone else, the photo's privacy settings will have to be tweaked to allow the download.
Download Your Albums
Facebook lately introduced a feature letting you download your albums without any third-party application. It is quite simple to work. Follow the instructions given below.
- Go to your profile and click on Photos → Albums.
- Open the album you would like to download.
- At the top right corner, there is a cog icon, and once you choose that, you get the option Download Album.
- A pop-up appears in the bottom-left corner when your album is all set to be dowloaded. You need to click it to start the download.
- It will download as a zip file and you can extract the files from there.
On Android, it is tough to download the albums, but there is an app to help you. From the Play Store, get the app called Album Downloader for Facebook and grant it the access to your Facebook account. You can see all the albums there and also the photos that you are tagged in by swiping towards the left.

Once you get the album you need to download, just click on the Download button that is on top. This way, the album will be saved on your Android device.
Download Others' Album or Bulk Download Your Photos
There is an extension in Chrome to get the Facebook albums. It is the Ensky Album Downloader and it is easy and simple to use than the other official album downloading options that let you download albums shared by others. With this extension, you can also backup all the photos you have shared or you have been tagged.
To do this, install the Chrome extension and open or refresh Facebook.
To download all your Photos, go to the Photos section. For albums, go to Photos → Albums.
Click on the extension on the Chrome toolbar and give it a few minutes. It will open all the photos in a serial order and there will be a download option.
Choose the ones you need to download and it will be downloaded as a Zip file.
Download a Single Video
There is no direct option to download any video, but there are many free tools that will help you do the same. Filevid is one such tool that works well on mobile browsers too.

All you need to do is just open the Facebook video, copy the link and paste it on Filevid. Then, you need to click on the Download! Button. You can choose to download high or low-quality videos and start downloading the same.
Download Multiple Videos
MyVideoDownloader is the app that will let you download all the videos on Facebook irrespective of the ones you have uploaded or the ones you are tagged in. It just needs the access to your account and photos. It will go through your timeline and the other interactions you have done on the social network to look for the videos.
Tap on News Feeds MyVideoDownloader and it will display the videos in your News Feed. Then, go to My Videos and you can filter through the clips that you have liked or the ones on your timeline. You need to tap on the Download button on the videos and the app will start working. The videos will be downloaded to the Gallery app on your smartphone.
