Twitter Introduces New User Profile Pages: Now Showing Larger Photos, Best Tweets

Twitter, barring the advent of Facebook in recent times, has easily become of the fastest growing social networking services of all time with the service reaching out to users on both PC and mobile. However, it seems like the service is getting some major makeover and this time the PC version of it is being treated to the new update.

According to reports, Twitter is officially currently rolling out a brand new user profile redesign, and as it seems, the new changes have been made to add an extra glow to the users' personal profiles, highlighting their best tweets and photos.

"The new web profile lets you use a larger profile photo, customize your header, show off your best Tweets and more," the official description for the same states. Its primary features are as follows:

Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so the users's best content will be easy to find.

Pinned Tweet: Pin one of your Tweets to the top of your page, so it's easy for your followers to see what you're all about.

Filtered Tweets: Now you can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

As you may have already checked out via the image above, the profile of the U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama looks a lot like a Web landing page, with photos (or videos) now having their own tab next to ‘tweets'.

As of now, this new profile setup is available only to a small group of users. However, if you're new to Twitter, rest assured that you'll start your Twitter journey with the new profile.
