After launching Iconia A1-713 and the Iconia A1-830 tablets in the Indian market recently, now Taiwan-based tablet/PC maker Acer has launched the Iconia One 7 (B1-730) in India, exclusively on Amazon.in.
The device that was announced back in April can now be bought in Black color variant at Rs. 8,499. Moreover, what is even better news is that Amazon India is also offering a free Philips DJ SHL3000 headset worth Rs. 999 for the first 1000 orders.
Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-730): Key Specifications
Acer Iconia One 7 sports a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The tablet also uses 1GB of RAM for faster multi-tasking and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, which is upgradeable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). It houses 16GB internal storage and is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
In the imaging front, the latest offering from Acer features a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera, which is quite similar to the Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch from Samsung. The Acer Iconia One 7 measures 8.9 mm thick and weighs 320 grams and comes with connectivity options including WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB. Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-730HD) is powered by a 3680mAh battery.
Competition-wise, the Asus also launched its latest Fonepad 7 in India at Rs. 8,999. Thus, this once could possibly be the most potential rival against the latest offering from Acer. Although, Acer Iconia One 7 has a better storage unit and bit powerful CPU, it does lack 3G support which makes it incapable of making calls. Thus, Asus Fonepad 7 might be most of the tablet buyers choice as it has a dual SIM support.
