The rivalry between Acer and Asus may be secret but when it come to launching new devices both make constant attempts to outgun each other on the tech showground. Recently Asus announced their latest devices like, Fonepad, Nexus 7, Taichi, Memo Pad and Transformer Pad and stunned the fans with jaw dropping features that was incorporated in Taichi.
The dual Screen feature with one side full fledged touchscreen and the other one normal. The Asus had a proud moment then but now it seems that Acer was just waiting for the right moment to throw their products as well.
Now, recently, Acer has launched a teaser which suggests that the brand is coming up with multiple devices. The teaser also hints at its new tablets that will be announced at Computex this year. Not to mention Asus waiting for the day as well.
This tablet will apparently be able to do a lot more than just "running apps and browsing the web," Acer claimed in a teaser video. Coming back to the teaser which hardly holds any information but it said that the announcement of the devices is scheduled on June 3, we won't have to wait for long.
The uploaded video on their YouTube channel this afternoon says that "a tablet that lets you do more than just use apps and surf the web." Surely this statement may mean surprise. But Acer believes it will be the "biggest little news" of the event.
As of now Acer has not released the information on the specs and features of the upcoming tablet but according to techblog reports, it is likely to come with Windows 8 operating system and next generation Intel Core i3 Haswell processor codenamed W3-810.
The tablet may have a screen of 11.6 inch LCD IPS technology with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, 4GB memory RAM, built in memory 64GB along with a memory card slot and 8 Megapixel shooter.
If the assumptions remains the same this upcoming Acer tablet may build a serious competition in the tablet market. It is expected that Acer tablet would be a budget device. However, again with the above expected specifications it is more likely to come at high price. The good news above all is that the devices are just five days away from being announced.
