Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM India Launch Date Set For April 15
Asus, best known for Nexus range of tablets, is gearing up to release the dual-SIM version of popular Fonepad 7 in India on April 15.
The company has sent us an invite for the launch of Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM in Delhi-based launch event.
Originally, Asus launched the Fonepad 7 Dual SIM (ME175CG) at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC).
For the reminder, Asus introduced the Fonepad 7 with 3G voice-calling in India last year. The single SIM version of Asus Fonepad 7 is already available for buyers in India, and we expect the dual SIM variant would be priced around Rs. 14,999.
Talking about the internal hardware, the Fonepad 7 Dual SIM features a 7-inch display having a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels with 10 finger multi touch.
Under the hood, there is a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 300 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, the device comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with Full HD (1080p) recording. Also, add a 1.2-megapixel front facing shooter with 720p HD recording.
The 3G-enabled voice calling tablet runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. We hope the Indian version of Fonepad 7 Dual SIM runs Android 4.4 Kitkat from day one.
Other connectivity options include: 3G, Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and more. The tablet measures 11.35mm thick and weighs 340 grams.
