Asus Fonepad 7 Review: Processor and Benchmark

In case you didn't know by now, the new Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM is one of those few Android tablets in the market to sport an impressive Intel processor under the hood. In our day-to-day use of the tablet, we didn't find any real issues related to performance. In fact, it was quite snappy and lag free in terms of performance.

The new Fonepad 7 Dual Sim, itself, is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor (Clover Trail Plus) and 1GB RAM. And we guess a bit of number is needed in the background to rest our cases as to why we say we never faced that much difficulty while our time with the device, performance-wise.

The tablet offers 8GB of internal storage, and out of this 5.21GB is available to users. Storage, however, can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of a microSD card. Apart from that, the tablet offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity options.

As far as bencmark tests are concerned, we let our old friend AnTuTu give us the scores. And the scores actually look quite satisfactory standing at 15,394. This means that the device, in general, supports most of the app, has good 2D graphics support, great 3D support, and will support most of the big name games.

As far as support for gaming is concerned, we found the results to be quite satisfactory running games like Dead Trigger 2 and the Inferno+. We also put in a bit of Stick Cricket into it and enjoyed lag free gaming.

So, on an overall, in terms of the performance factors and other apps responding to that performance, you will be happy to know that you will never have any real complaints.
