Asus Fonepad 7 Review: Camera and Video
Asus takes good care of the camera that it offers with its tablets. In this instance, the company offers a proprietary camera app that allows users to change manual settings that inlcludes white balance, exposure and more.
The Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. However. there's no LED flash at the back, thus making it difficult to click photos in low-light or night time conditions.
Apart from offering its own custom camera app, where you you change the options around, there's also the support for burst mode and face detection that's essential for taking a good photo. At least under the lights.
Getting deeper into the camera offering, it has to be said that it's quite the blend of good and bad. For example, we did find a bit of issue when focusing the camera. However, once it's focused, the camera will manage to capture images as fast as possible.
And while we were over-whelmed by the kind of detailing we got from the camera, wish we could say the same thing for the color offering in the image output. Apart from that, you might run into a bit of a problem also if you are willing to use the auto white balance feature a lot.
However, all that being said about the camera and its 'mixed' qualities, the images are more than okay if your only aim is to take a lot of pictures and post them on your personal Facebook or Twitter page. Don't expect high detailing stuff, but as far as day to day usage is concerned, we don't see any real issue with the camera.
You just need to be a bot patient with the Fonepad 7's camera, that's all. And soo you will be treated to a host of images in short notice of time that the favorable for uploading purposes. One last thing, the rear camera can also capture workable 1080p videos that are just decent by our standards.
