CES 2015: Asus Unveils Hybrid Windows Devices Under Transformer Book Chi Series

We have been hearing a lot of stuffs from the tech-giants in CES this year. Following the successful Zenfone 2 announcement, Asus marked its presence yet again with the announcement of three Windows 2-in-1s with the Transformer Book Chi series. The Chi series includes T90 Chi, T100 Chi and T300 Chi. The Transformer Book Chi series is a collection of hybrid Windows devices that act as both laptop and tablet.

CES 2015: Asus Unveils Transformer Book Chi Series

Transformer Book T300 Chi is the flagship, among the series with 12.5-inch tablet which can be converted into laptop. It is packed with latest Core M CPU from Intel, provides silent fan-less operation and a wide range of vibrant colors on its IPS touchscreen.

It comes in two variant with either 4GB and 8GB RAM with an 128GB internal storage. Coming to the price, the 2560 x 1440 WQHD display variant costs $799 (approx Rs. 50,668) and a 1920 x 1080 variant costs $699(approx Rs. 44,285). With 16.5mm thickness, the T300 Chi is now thinner than the iPad Air. Further, it also sports a 2MP front camera capable of recording 720p videos.

Along with Book T300 Chi, Asus has also an affordable hybrid range that includes Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi and T90 Chi.

Specs-wise, the 10.1-inch T100 Chi has a resolution of 1900x1200 pixel display and costs around $399 (Rs 26,00 approx.), meanwhile the 8.9-inch Chi T90 comes with 1280x800 display and costs around $299 (Rs 19,000 approx). Apart from this, both the Transformer book are powered by 1.46GHz Quad-core Intel Atom Z3775 Processor BayTrail-T. Both the T100 Chi and T90 Chi features 5MP rear camera and 2MP HD front.

In the Transformer Book Chi series, keyboards are attach by a strong magnetic hinge, also can be connected via Bluetooth, allowing you to use them from some distance away.
