CES 2015: Lenovo Announces ThinkPad Series Laptops And Accessories

Lenovo kick starts the CES 2015 by launching its series of laptops under Thinkpad lineup. The China-based PC manufacturer Lenovo has unveiled eight laptops under the Thinkpad series, that includes X,T, E and L featuring the Intel's fifth-gen 'Broadwell' Core processor. The most important device among these laptops is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the world's lightest 14-inch performance ultra-book.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon - Key Specifications

ThinkPad X1 Carbon sports a 14-inch display with a choice of full-HD and WQHD with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels density, along with the touch-screen option. It carries the dimension of 18.5mm thickness with carbon fibre build and weigh around1.2kg. It comes with the storage option of 128GB, 180GB, 256GB or 320GB in-built storage alongside 8GB RAM.

The X1 Carbon 2015 edition has a dedicated functional keys, redesigned touch pad along with the buttons and also supports optional LTE connectivity modem. It carries a price tag of $1,249(approx Rs. 79,000) and it is said to be available from January in US.

Featuring the latest generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon, Lenovo said one hundred million units have been shipped.

"Since the original ThinkPad 700, ThinkPad engineers have continued to drive innovation by making each new ThinkPad better than the last. Reaching 100 million units sold proves they are succeeding," said Yuanqing Yang, chairman and CEO, Lenovo.

ThinkVision X24

Priced at $249(approx Rs. 15,787) ThinkVision X24 comes in a dimension of 7.5mm thickness, borderless display with a compact form factor. The display sports a Neo Blade 23.8-inch panel with unique pre-coated metal surface technology in place of a rear cover enhancing the premium design.

Further, in the ThinkPad X series Lenovo announced ThinkPad X250, which is the beefed-up version of X240. Priced at $1,149 (approx Rs. 72,800) it will go on sale during February.

The ThinkPad T450s,T450, T550, L450 is priced at $1099(approx Rs. 69,770), $849(approx Rs. 53,830), $999 (approx Rs. 63,200), $699 (approx Rs. 44,200) will go on sale next month.

ThinkPad Stack

Apart from the laptops, Lenovo also announced ThinkPad Stack, which includes stackable hard drive, LTE wireless data hotspot, Bluetooth speaker and powerbank modules. Moreover the ThinkPad Stack accessories include a 10000mAh power bank alongside a 1TB USB 3.0 storage space hard drive.
