Computex 2014: Asus unveils Fonepad 8 Along with MeMo Pad 8 and MeMO Pad HD 7
Asus, the heavy-weight tablet maker, today announced two new tablets powered by Intel's latest processor at its Computex press event in Taipei, Taiwan.
The newly launched tablets are a part of the company's FonePad and MeMo Pad series. The sequel to the Asus FonePad 7 ( 7" and 8"), now come with better specs, while the 8-inch MeMo Pad ( again, 7" and 8")two has an Intel-powered 64-bit quad-core CPU with 4G LTE support.
ASUS MeMO Pad 8 ME581CL - Highlighted Specifications
Asus's latest 8-inch tablet under the MeMo Pad series is nothing less than a beast. The tablet sports an 8-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM.There's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, alongside a 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device measures 7.45mm in terms of thickness and weighs 299 grams. This blazing fast slate runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat mobile OS with Asus's native Zen UI slapped on top. The pricing and availability has not been announced yet.

Asus MeMo Pad 7 (ME176C) - Highlighted Specifications
The MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C) is a 7-inch HD ( 1280 x 800) Android slate powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 which is clocked at 1.86GHz. On the camera front, you'll get to see a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The MeMO Pad 7 also supports Miracast technology which allows it to stream HD videos to a compatible TV. The device will come in white, black, blue and red colors.
ASUS Fonepad FE375CG and FE380CG - Highlighted Specifications
Asus Fonepad (FE375CG), as the name suggests, is a 7-inch HD tablet. Under the hood is a 64-bit Intel quad-core processor , clocked at 1.83 GHz. The slate offers 1GB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. There's a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter. The tablet measures 9.8mm in terms of thickness and weighs in at 299 grams.

Asus Fonapd FE380CG, on the other hand, is an 8-inch slate with similar set of specifications. The device features 3G connectivity and comes with dual SIM card slots. It will be available in black, white, gold and red.
