Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets with voice calling launched in India for Rs 14,999 and Rs 18,999

After announcing the two devices back in June, Dell has officially launched the new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 (3000 series) tablets running Android 4.4 (KitKat) with voice calling capabilities in India.

The New Dell Venue 7 with voice calling support is launched at the price of Rs. 14,999 and the new Dell Venue 8 costs Rs. 18,999. Moreover, Dell is also selling protective cases for these tablets and also Cradle or a Dell Venue Rotating Folio for the Venue 8 tablet.

New Dell Venue 7: Key Specifications

The New Dell Venue 7 sports a 7-inch (1280×800 pixels) HD capacitive multi-touch IPS Display and it is powered by Intel Atom processor Z3460 (up to 1.6GHz Dual-Core) coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4.

Camera-wise the latest offering from Dell comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 1MP front facing snapper. The 8.95mm thick device which weighs at 290g also houses 16GB of inbuilt memory, along with a micro SD card support upto 64GB.

The tablet also supports 3G with voice calling, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and is powered by a 4550 mAh battery.

New Dell Venue 8: Key Specifications

The New Dell Venue 8 comes with a 8-inch FHD (WXGA 1920 x 1200 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS Display. It is powered by Intel Atom processor Z3480 (up to 2.1GHz Dual-Core) coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4.

Other specs include 5MP rear camera, 2MP front facing snapper, 8.95mm thick and weighs 338g, 16GB inbuilt memory, micro SD expandable up to 64GB, 3G with voice calling, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 4550 mAh battery.

Both the tablets have Waves MAXXAudio Pro audio technology for a premium audio experience.

Commenting on the launch, P. Krishnakumar, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer & Small Business, Dell India, said, "Dell is focusing strongly on the tablet segment in India. With voice enablement, we are confident of capturing a sizable part of the highly segmented tablet market."

He further added, "The addition of voice calling comes as a result of customer feedback that highlighted how increasingly consumers feel the need to converge their mobile technology needs into a single device.
