Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT 712 Review: Camera and Video

Cameras on tablets aren't really a big thing. Surely if you want a good camera device, you might as well invest on a smartphone with improved and extended sensors. However, the Digiflip from Flipkart looks to be an exception.

The Digiflip Pro XT712, for instance, sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing shooter with a single LED Flash. There's also a 2-megapixel camera on the front side for capturing all those selfies and even carry out video chats once in a while.

Needless to say, the camera can record and play full HD videos. In fact, in that price tag, there's also an AF camera present with it supporting full HD recording. But note that the the camera is quite color and light sensitive. Again, that was expected going by its price tag.

It needs to be said that in low light the camera hasn't performed as per our liking. The response time for the same is quite slow. In fact, the slowness has been personified so much that you will sometime need to hold the tablet in a stable way in your hand so as to avoid shaky photos.

One more thing. Maybe it's just a faulty unit with the good ones handed over to customers, but we found that the review unit's flash opening was a bit clanky. It actually felt loose in the hand. Here's hoping Flipkart will soon mend that.
