Samsung Electronics expanded range of options in its tablet basket with the launch of Galaxy Tab 3 series in India including Tab 3 211, 311 and 310. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch will be available in two variants. The Galaxy Tab 3 311 has 3G (Voice and Data) capability while the Galaxy Tab 3 310 is a WiFi version only. The tablets have been launched at Rs 25,725 and Rs 24,945 respectively. Further, there is also Tab 3 211 is a 7 inch which has been launched at a price of Rs 17,745.

Announcing the launch, Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Samsung Mobile and Imaging Business, stated, "Ever since we pioneered the introduction of tablets in India in the year 2010 , we have fuelled the growth of this segment through our innovative Tab portfolio; the most recent being the Note 800 and the Note 510.The Tab 3 series carries forward the Samsung legacy of innovation by offering consumers the benefit of the smartest screen , an unmatched performance , smart usability coupled with a host of applications that allow consumers' to personalize and thereby enrich their experience with the device ."

The three tablets will be available in the Indian market from this Sunday, that is, July 21. At the same time, they are already available for pre order at Samsing India eStore and Infibeam.

Talking about specs and features, iPad Mini comes with an 8 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display along with a 16M color depth and 162 ppi pixel density, powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, Apple A5 chipset with PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics and iOS 6, upgradable to iOS 6.1.3.

Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB. The iPad mini comes packed with a 5 MP rear camera along with a 1.2 MP front facing camera. Internal storage capacity comes with 16 GB and 32 GB in India with no microSD slot.

Of course, no manufacturer can beat Apple iPads as far as user experience is concerned. But if your concern is price and Android experience then you may opt the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311. As iPad Mini Comes 16GB Wi-Fi and Cellular version is priced at Rs. 29,003, which is higher then the recently launched Galaxy Tab.
