HCL has recently launched their HCL ME U3 7 inch Android tablet at an aggressively tempting price of Rs. 5,449 and is available on Infibeam. However, this could be possibly the lowest priced Android Jelly Bean tablet in India.

Tablet market in India especially the budget friendly category has been targeted by almost all the manufacturers based in India. Thus there is a massive competition in the market.

Moreover, recently, iBall Slide was also launched which features a massive 9 inch display and is available at Rs. 9,399. Thus, tablets within the rage of Rs. 10,000 or less is at phase where competition is hefty and cut throat. Thus HCL ME U3 won't be any exception to it.

However, here is a brief rundown on the specs and features of the recently launched 7 inch HCL ME U3:

HCL ME U3 comes packed with a 7 inch multi-touch capacitive screen display which also offers a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480pixels. It can playback Full HD 1080p videos as well.

The 7 inch tablet is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 Next Generation Processor and the system is also backed by a Mali-400 GPU I 3D Graphics. Sasly, the tablet only features a 512MB DDR3 RAM. However, there is a Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) running in the system which is pretty good compared to the other tablets that fall in the same price range.

Talking about the camera aspect, the HCL ME U3 comes with a 2MP rear camera and 0.3 front facing camera for video chats.

Connectivity section is pretty regular like Wi-Fi, Micro USB 2.0 port, 3G enabled USB Data Card support etc. For storage, the tablet has 4GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via Micro SD card. Eventually, HCL ME U3 is powered by a 3100mAh Li-Polymer Battery .

The tablet also features support of 11 major Indian languages. Moreover, Infibeam promises to offer a surprise freebies worth Rs. 2,000 inside the box.
