HP Slate 7 VoiceTab: 7 Inch Voice Calling Tablet Now Available At Rs 16,990 Via Official Store

Some people are still in denial about the rise of tablets. In particular, those who still think that tablets will never replace traditional PCs, such as notebooks and desktops. However, Hewlett-Packard (HP) doesn't think like that.

Last month, the PC giant launched the Slate 7 VoiceTab and Slate6 VoiceTab in the VoiceTab series, in India. Out of the two, the Slate 6 VoiceTab went on sale immediately, while the 7-inch tablet (Slate 7 VoiceTab) is now on sale from the company's online store at Rs. 16,990. The official store notes that the device will be delivered to consumers in seven working days.

The HP Slate7 VoiceTab tablet packs a 7-inch IPS HD display having a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The device also supports dual-SIM functionality with voice-calling capability.

On the imaging front, there is a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.The makers have added a 4100mAh battery fitted inside.

Additionally, the 7-inch tablet comes with 25GB of free cloud storage from Box and also comes preloaded with apps such as, HP Connected Photo, HP File Manage, HP e-Print and HP Connected Music.

Other connectivity options include: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB and EDGE support.
