HTC has always been synonymous to finest handsets the world has ever seen. Earlier this week, the HTC One was named the "Best Smartphone of the Year" by GSM Association (GSMA).

In the coming days, you will hear a lot about the successor of HTC One, alongside HTC's forthcoming tablet. But is HTC really making a tablet?

Although, the company will announce its high-end tablet device sometime later this year- which is still pretty far away, but that doesn't stop us from speculating on what to expect from the device. Now, a tablet concept made by @Phone Designer strengthens our faith in HTC's upcoming tablet device.

HTC Babel Concept: Dual-Boot Tablet that Runs Windows and Android

HTC Babel Concept

The tablet device, HTC Babel, is one of the dual-boot tablets we have been hearing for long time. It lets you choose between Windows 8 64-bit and Android OS. The tablet's display should be around 10-inches with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1440 pixel resolution or even 2560 x 1920 pixels.

Moreover, the tablet should come with a native digitizer and stylus to better compete with Samsung and Asus made tablets. The concept also predicts that the HTC-made tablet will be similar to that of HTC One's design. The device will have an aluminum body, dual-frontal speakers, and a rear-facing camera with an LED Flash.

We wonder whether this tablet would be able to beat Apple's best selling iPad or not. Even so, the HTC Babel concept has got us thinking about the design and features of the purported tablet.

HTC Nexus 10 Tablet: Release date

HTC hasn't been a successful tablet device maker. The company tried to find a niche with the Flyer 7 tablet, but the device was panned by critics and users alike. HTC, once again, attempted to jump into tablets business. This time around, a 10-inch tablet sold exclusively through AT&T, but didn't come close to Apple's iPad in terms of features and pricing.

Now, gossip mongers have started to speculate that HTC will be teaming up with Google to manufacture next-gen Nexus 10 tablet in 2014.
